Duration: 5 Day Hands-On Training HOST A COURSE
Course Code: GA-PSD101
Cost: Contact us

This 5 day hands-on course is a complete close protection program which combines classroom studies with intense physical training.  It is designed to teach the necessary skills required of individual operators and/ or teams tasked with working PSD/ Dignitary Protection missions.  The course’s curriculum follows the guidelines and protocols set forth by the premiere US agencies providing protective services- the United States Secret Service (USSS) and the United States Department of State- Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS).

The course is geared toward law enforcement officers, government employees, military personnel, and other professionals who are planning to work in a protective detail capacity.  In most cases such persons join or accompany an established Personal Security Detail (PSD) and are required to possess working knowledge of such operations in order to effectively integrate into the team.

During the course of this training the students will be taught all fundamental aspects of close protection work and will have to demonstrate their ability to put them into action.  As a critical part of this complete program, students will undergo extensive training in basic driving techniques, vehicle and walking formations, empty hand tactics, and the deployment and use of their firearms to include live fire training.

At the final stages of training, students will be put through controlled force-on-force practical exercises.  These scenarios will test the students’ decision-making abilities, overall proficiency, assist them in honing their skills, and ultimately prepare them for real-life close protection operations.
