This two day course is geared toward all law enforcement, government, and military explosive breachers who have successfully completed the FETT explosive breacher certification training course and possess the operational need to maintain their skills current and relevant.
FETT’s Refresher and Re-qualification program is specifically designed to provide explosive breachers with the most current information in the continuously evolving field of tactical explosive breaching.
Course Prerequisites:
- Restricted to Fully Commissioned/ Sworn U.S. Law Enforcement Officers, Government Agents, and Active Military Personnel.
- Certified Explosive Breachers who possess the following (copy of certification is required):
- Must possess a current FETT Basic/ Intermediate Tactical Explosive Breacher Certification
- Knowledge of Charge Calculations To Include Net Explosive Weights (N.E.W.), Lbs., TNT, Minimum Safe Distances (MSD), Internal Overpressure, Predicting/ Estimating Collateral Damage, Operational Limitations of Calculations
- Knowledge of Basic – Intermediate Charge Construction
Training Objectives & Topics:
Provide participants with documented refresher and re-qualification training thereby fulfilling recertification requirements mandated by various government entities.Provide law enforcement, government, and military explosive breachers with current and updated information in both theoretical and practical aspects of explosive breaching.
- Current information pertaining to charge construction and use
- Refresher knowledge pertaining to charge calculation and related topics
- Current TTP’s as they relate to explosive breaching deployments
- Current studies and research pertaining to blast pressure effects (human injuries, structural damage, and advanced energetics theories)
- Target Analysis Skills
- Contemporary topics pertaining to the use of explosive entry in civilian environments, policies and procedures, and other legal topics.
Methods of Instruction:
This training program combines classroom lectures, presentations, and academics with physical skills, hands-on practical exercises and drills. It requires direct student involvement and participation in all stages of the training. Furthermore, it tests their ability to effectively accomplish necessary tasks as well as their individual competency and knowledge in both theoretical and practical aspects of explosive breaching.

Course Format Options
The Explosive Breacher Refresher & Re-Qualification (EBRR) can be taken in one of two ways:
- Stand-Alone Enrollment
Attend this 2-day course independently for a fee of $675. - Included in Breaching Circle Registration
This course is also available as a 2 day module selection (Tue & Wed) within the 10th Annual Breaching Circle event. On Thursday Nov. 6th, you will still be able to attend additional modules based on your selections.
If you opt to attend as part of The Breaching Circle, no additional fee applies beyond the standard Breaching Circle registration of $550. The registration link can be found HERE.
Note: Attendance at the opening day of Breaching Circle is required.
