Course Introduction:

This comprehensive Explosive Breaching course is geared toward law enforcement and military personnel who possess the professional need to gain the knowledge and expertise necessary to obtain an Active or Operational Explosive Breacher status, build an Explosive Breaching Program for their agency, and/ or expand and enhance on an existing one. The training is specially designed to teach participants the necessary skills required to become successful operational breachers and instill within them the knowledge and physical capabilities to deploy these skills in real-world situations.

The 6 day hands-on training will take students from the basic/ beginning level of explosive breaching and gradually progress them into intermediate materials. A great emphasis is given to the real-life application of this breaching method under various tactical conditions. Students will be taught, drilled, and tested in all aspects of explosive breaching to include: charge calculation, charge construction, target analysis, proper deployment, tactical considerations, and various issues pertaining to liability.

This course is taught exclusively by POST certified instructors who possess real-world operational experience in field of explosive breaching.

Course Prerequisites:

Restricted to Fully Commissioned/ Sworn U.S. Law Enforcement Officers, Government Agents, and Active Military Personnel.

Target Audience:

  • Personnel whose experience within their agency/ entity surpasses entry level positions
  • Sufficient tenure remaining in their current or future position to allow for the application of course material upon their return
  • Assigned to one of the following positions within their respective agency/ entity:
    • Member of tactical team, emergency response unit
    • Member of Bomb Tech/ EOD team
    • Other specialized units which require operational knowledge and capacities in the field of explosive breaching
    • Instructor specializing in tactical operations, explosives, breaching methods, or related fields

      • Make sure to include a copy of your department ID.
      • Include a copy of your previous FETT Explosive Breacher course certificate if applicable.

    After your signed registration form is received you will receive an email confirming along with the Agency Training Approval letter, to be completed by a supervisor, and an invoice.

    1. Complete and return the Agency Training Approval letter signed by a supervisor.
    2. Submit payment or provide purchase order (PO) as applicable.

    1. A full tuition payment is required to secure your spot in one of our courses.
    2. A full refund of tuition will be granted up to 14 days prior to the course’s start date. After this time, no refund will be granted, but tuition can be applied to another course.
    3. Safety is a primary concern during all training courses. If, in the sole judgement of our instructors, a student’s ability to train safely falls below an acceptable level, our instructors reserve the right to remove that student from the course. Tuition will be refunded.
