Course Description:
This interactive training is designed to introduce non-Bomb Tech/ EOD officers and tactical operators to the unique requirements and technical skills required for detecting, confronting, and handling various incidents involving improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Such incidents may include various suicide bombing scenarios such as Body and/or Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (PBIED or VBIED), large scale attacks or threats to critical infrastructure and large venues, and threats of booby traps and pre- placed IEDs at a wide range of locations and targets.
The course will introduce officers to the methodical process of scanning various environments for IEDs and teach safety procedures and related tactics intended to mitigate the risk to the public, other officers, and themselves. These critical skills are intended for use during IED incidents in which immediate action is necessary while Bomb Tech/ EOD professionals are not present and/ or may be delayed.
This unique training was especially designed for law enforcement officers who operate in specific capacities such as undercover, tactical, personal security detail (PSD), and other assignments. Such officers are not likely to have Bomb Tech/ EOD at their immediate disposal but are required to detect and mitigate the risk of IEDs.
The course was created by veteran Bomb Tech/ EOD officers possessing years of real-world operational experience dealing with IED incidents in counter-terrorism environments. It has been taught for years to members of specialized law enforcement and military units as well as field operators and other professionals worldwide.

- Render safe procedures
- Tampering with devices
- Disarming tactics or related skills
Bomb Tech Skills will be taught exclusively to certified HDS Bomb Technicians
Target Audience:
- Members of all levels of federal, state, and local law enforcement, and military personnel who are assigned to:
- Counter- Terrorism Units
- Tactical Teams (such as SWAT teams)
- Members of PSD teams
- Special Response Units
- Units assigned to the protection of large venues and/ or critical infrastructure
- Individuals within such agencies who hold positions which influence decisions and policies
Course Prerequisites:
- Restricted to Fully Commissioned/ Sworn U.S. Law Enforcement Officers, Government Agents, and Active Military Personnel
- Participants must be US Citizens

Course Description:
This hands-on course is designed specifically for tactical operators who require Improvised Explosive Device (IED), Home Made Explosives (HME), and Booby Trap detection, recognition, and mitigations skills while involved in various tactical operations. The course addresses in detail the broad spectrum of Counter-IED (C-IED) operations and instructs participants in the physical skills required to successfully accomplish them.
Recognizing the diverse missions of tactical operators, this training provides specific C-IED skills and tactics suitable for both dynamic and slow methodical operations. These include hostage rescues, active shooter, and various operations consisting of building/ room entries, as well as barricaded subjects, and tactical searches of different environments, open fields, structures, etc.
The material presented in this course is a direct product of our instructors’ real-world experience operating as bomb technicians and tactical operators in specialized Israeli and US military and law enforcement units. All possess years of operational experience conducting C-IED operations in their respective fields.

Course Description:
Geared toward all first responders and field operators, this course provides comprehensive Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and Home Made Explosives (HME) awareness training. Taking into consideration the participant’s scope of operations, the course provides fundamental detection and recognition skills suitable for basic field operations in a non-bomb technician/ EOD capacity.
This interactive course combines classroom instructional modules with hands-on exercises and practical problems. It requires the participants’ direct involvement and physical interaction to assure their ability to properly implement detection and recognition skills in their respective fields and environments.
