This course provides officers of all ranks and assignments the required “training and experience” crucial for successfully handling a wide range of suicide bomber incidents.  It is currently the only course of its kind taught in the US with both a curriculum based on real life operations and instructors with actual operational experience. Exclusively for first responders and specialized units, it provides the participants with the physical skills and proper tactics to be implemented against this threat.  For this reason, the course and its tactics have been adopted by several large US law enforcement and government agencies. 
 
Since 2002 our instructors have been teaching law enforcement and military units across the U.S. in the methods of detecting, deterring, and defeating the suicide bomber methods of operation.  Our instructors’ unique “real world” and “hands-on” experience derives from their years of service in prominent Israeli Counter-Terrorism Units, dealing with this horrific threat on a daily basis.  They are joined by our US instructors who are veteran law enforcement officers from various specialized and tactical units.  These officers possess professional knowledge of US laws, regulations, and use of force polices, as well as extensive experience in police tactics and operations.

Course Description:

Designed specifically for US law enforcement officers, TVI™ is taught exclusively to officers/ first responders who have successfully completed the initial 5 day Counter Suicide Bomber (CSB)™ training and can show professional necessity for the advanced skills and tactics taught in this course.  Building on the knowledge and skills learned in the CSB™ course, this advanced training is designed to provide the following:

  • Overall understanding of the threats and challenges presented by a Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device VBIED
  • Provide the necessary “Training and Experience” upon which decisions can be made and articulated
  • Provide advanced firearms and empty hand skills
  • Build individual and team skills/ tactics
  • Teach the physical skills necessary for effectively responding to and interdicting a Confirmed and/ or Suspected occupied VBIED.
  • Teach practical and legally defendable physical skills necessary for effective interdiction and proper response to various VBIED scenarios.

Course Description:

This 5 day interactive training instructs law enforcement officers in the utilization of Stress Reflex Indicators and Behavioral Pattern Indicators and (SRIs & BPIs) to locate, identify, and isolate suspicious persons (criminal and/ or terrorist) in various environments.  Understanding and using the techniques and methods taught in the class provides officers with articulatable tools they can rely on when initiating investigative stops or detainment as opposed to relying on questionable profiling tactics.

The training combines classroom sessions with practical applications and field exercises to equip officers with the necessary “Training and Experience” for successful implementation.  Throughout the course, officers will be presented with real-life conditions and situations.  They will be tasked with correctly and successfully implementing various methods to recognize and act upon BPIs and SRIs using the skills learned in the instructional sessions.

SRIs & BPIs have been used with great success by various intelligence entities, law enforcement agencies, and security outfits worldwide. In recent years they have been put to use by various units including Counter-Terrorism, PSD/ VIP protection, counter-surveillance, and proactive security entities tasked with early detection and interception. These proven methodologies provide crucial tools for officers who are tasked with implementation of proactive security measures for large venues, critical infrastructure, and various protection missions.

This course is specifically designed for agencies who already have or wish to create fully integrated PBIED and VBIED interdiction teams consisting of K9 detection and trained Subject Interdiction Officers (SIO).  Its main objective is to facilitate the proper and effective employment of both resources in support of one another for the purpose of detecting, deterring, and defeating the threat of various suicide bombing attacks. 

Created, tested, and refined in the US over the last 17 years, the course curriculum provides participants from both K9 and SIO fields with realistic and practical principles of operation rooted in the fundamental CSB™, SRI & BPI™, and TVI™ methodologies.   The training will assist participants in defining realistic performance expectations for each component, identifying inherent strengths and weaknesses, and underlining required solutions to assure maximized performance to achieve a common mission objective.

Course Description:

As a crucial component of the CSB™ program this IED DRM™ (Detection, Recognition, and Mitigation) training is designed to instruct non-Bomb Technicians/ EOD officers, assigned to specialized interdiction teams, in the unique requirements and technical skills necessary to effectively detect, confront, and handle a wide range of dynamic IED related incidents.  Such incidents may include, but are not limited to, various suicide bombing scenarios such as Body and/or Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (PBIED or VBIED), large scale attacks/threats to critical infrastructure and large venues, and threats of booby traps and pre- placed IEDs at a wide range of locations and targets. 

The course will instruct officers in the methodical process of scanning various environments and persons for IEDs and associated threats.  Participants will be introduced to and drilled in proper safety procedures and various tactics intended to proactively mitigate hazards to the public, other officers, and themselves that are commonly associated with IEDs.   These critical skills are intended for use during IED incidents in which immediate action is necessary while Bomb Technicians/ EOD professionals are not present and/ or may be delayed. 

This unique training was especially designed for US law enforcement officers who are or will be assigned to Counter-Suicide Bomber/ PBIED type operations and operate in specific capacities as Subject Introduction Officers (SIO) and/ or K9 PBIED detection capacity.  Such officers are not likely to have Bomb Technicians at their immediate disposal but are required to detect and mitigate the risk of IEDs in the most effective and expedient fashion. 

The course was created by veteran Bomb Tech/ EOD officers possessing years of real-world operational experience dealing with IED incidents in counter-terrorism environments.  It has been taught for years to members of specialized law enforcement and military units as well as field operators and other professionals world wide.

Course Description:

This 5 day course is the product of years of “hands-on” experience successfully confronting the threats of terrorism and crime to large events and other venues.  The course teaches participants various methods for creating and implementing security measures and response capabilities to counter the threat of suicide bombing and related terrorist attacks to major events, large venues, and high profile targets to include critical infrastructure.

This training is uniquely designed to equip participants with simple, effective, and cost-efficient operational security tools.  It concentrates on teaching students physical skills and real-life tactics as opposed to theoretical guidelines relating to risk assessments.

The course will guide participants through a systematic method of gathering crucial information, processing intelligence, analyzing requirements, assessing various risks and vulnerabilities, and identifying the disposable resources at hand.  It will then define the required operational security measures and their proper deployment thereby maximizing the effectiveness of a security force in detecting, deterring, and confronting various threats such as criminal, terrorist, or others.  At its final stage, the training will provide participants with a step-by-step process for combining the information into an efficient and organized plan, establishing “Operational Orders.”

The training is meant to accomplish one of two objectives: to complement and improve an existing security and crisis response plan, or to develop and implement a new one.   In either case, the emphasis remains on the “human factor” as the primary solution, with technological tools playing a secondary role.

This training is designed to teach crucial physical skills required by individual operators and/or teams to successfully conduct surveillance and interception operations on suspected and/ or high-risk terrorist suspects.  The course teaches aspects of dynamic surveillance and interception skills as they pertain to long- and short-term missions and covers in detail all aspects of vehicle and foot operations.

Course Description:

This course combines over 40 years of Israeli counter-terrorism and US law enforcement tactical experiences into one complete training regimen.  It is designed specifically for small specialized teams who are tasked with emergency response to critical incidents and implementation of counter measures against terrorists.

The course teaches proactive counter-terrorism tactics as they relate to the planning, preparation, and execution of hostage rescue, high risk building entry, vehicle take-downs/assaults, bus assaults, “active shooter” incidents, dynamic and slow methodical operations in IED/ booby-trapped environments, high risk suspect detention and extraction in hostile environments, and other related missions.
