About TSWG

The Technical Support Working Group (TSWG) is the U.S. national forum that identifies, prioritizes, and coordinates interagency and international research and development (R&D) requirements for combating terrorism. TSWG rapidly develops technologies and equipment to meet the high priority needs of the anti-terrorism community, and addresses joint international operational requirements through cooperative R&D with major allies. TSWG operates as a program element under the Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO)

Forced Entry Tactical Training (FETT), a division of Global Assets Integrated, has joined forces with several of its counterparts, volunteering its operational knowledge and expertise in the field of law enforcement explosive breaching, to assist TSWG with the creation of the Explosive Breaching Characterization Handbook.  The guide is intended specifically for use by civilian law enforcement operators who have been professionally trained in explosive breaching.

This 141 page technical reference guide is currently in use by law enforcement agencies nationwide for explosive breaching training and operations. It includes information on target intelligence, explosive breaching safety, breaching charge construction, and other technical data.
